Snapshots of a Carnatic Opera
Subhadra Vijaykumar, violin; Arvind Venkataraman, mrdangam; Dhishan Kandala, violin
This educational lecture and performance features Subhadra Vijaykumar, Founder and Artistic Director of Radha Carnatic Violin Creatures. Together with her collaborators, Vijaykumar will present a snapshot of "Prahlada Bhakti Vijayam," an operatic work in Carnatic music.

Likht Ensemble
Likht (ליכט, "light") Ensemble take listeners on a musical journey to reveal a snapshot of the inner creative life of Jewish life within the Kovno and Vilna ghettos of Lithuania. With recurring motifs of springtime, dreams, awakening, suffering, and lost love, beautiful melodies are a vehicle for biting irony and devastating truth.

Payadora Tango Ensemble
Contemporary chamber music ensemble Payadora Tango Ensemble will perform their own arrangements of traditional and modern tango and Argentine folk music, as well as original songs.

As always, the Free Concert Series is free for all attendees, but arrive early! Doors open half an hour prior to the performance start time and admittance is granted on a first-come, first-served basis.
